how to do sex

Here's me at Barford Park, enjoying the strangely sunny bank holiday weekend.
Hmmmm. I've been a bit ill yet again this week, more sinussy blocked nose. Possibly influenced by wet feet on Tuesday, being tired, and onset of female-type joy. Today I've been feeling pretty icky, but I think the blocked nose is on its way out.
In other news I have 4 shifts left at Debenhams. Ever! And for some reason I have Tuesday off as well as Monday so I may get to go on adventures with Amy. Yay!

Monday: Can't. Remember. Oh! Kate had an exam at 2 and I was working at 1 so Dad took us to Starbucks for lunch :) I had (another) hazelbut latte. Yummy. I think it was just Hannah and me at work.
Tuesday: Wandered around before work and got financial stuff for my travels partially sorted. Got very wet feet. Then I worked... Hmm.
Wednesday: I worked 1-6 I think. I was quite coldy by this point, all sniffly. And I was on my own for the first hour so I had to do the fittings if people wanted them. I warned people that I had a cold before I started (it's only polite, yes? You don't want someone to suddenly start sneezing on you at close quarters) and explained that I was the only one there(or I would've got someone else to do it). Apparently this is hideously rude. Most people laughed or said sympathetic things, but one woman (who was completely fine while I was helping her, even though she didn't find anything she liked), decided I was "tetchy" and went and complained to the people on womenswear. I wasn't tetchy, but people saying things like that is liable to make me tetchy. GRR.
Dad brought Grandma down to stay for a bit.
Thursday: Went into town on my own, bought some brownie from the Farmers Market lady. Worked 10-2, failed to find Which magazine at the Library and in W H Smiths (although they did have lovely boxes and spotty things) and had lunch at home. Sat out in the garden with a big tray full of felty things á la Lupin. Made a poppy type thing which is now a hair clip, finished off a few old things.
We had nice warm salad for supper. Although the bowl was far too small and it was almost impossible to toss!
Friday: Had the day off! Everyone was at home so we decided to go to Wells. But then Dad remembered that he was meant to take the car for a service so he had to run off and do that. When he got home in the courtesy car he realised he still had our car key in his pocket. Oops. So he phoned up and they said yes, they did need it. So then we decided to go and have lunch at Pizza Express in Taunton with our two-for-one vouchers from The Mercury instead of going to Wells...
It wasn't quite so exciting. But we all had new expensive pizzas to take advantage of the vouchers. I had a Pollo Pancetta one, it had a "Romana" base, apparently they're thinner and crispier. It was quite. The pancetta was tasty, but I wasn't so impressed with the idea of using sauce made of peppers instead of tomatoes. I missed the tomato. Kate had a pizza with a hole in the middle. They've had the idea of lopping some out and replacing it with salad to make a healthy option. Hmm.
Thennnn Kate went to get her hair cut and the rest of us went to Lidl. Dad and Kate stayed in town to get the car and Mum, Grandma and I went home via Sainsbury's. We used the self-check out and bought some nice rolls and a ridiculous amount of tomatoes for soup making. Later I took an idea from the Covent Garden book of soups and Kate grilled some of the tomatoes with herbs and oil. Then I added them to my tomato soup. I don't know how much difference the grilling made but it was nice soup :D
Saturday: Got up, had breakfast, put salad in a box & went to work. Ate salad on a bench in Goodland gardens. Fairly uneventful day. Measured a few people, some were actually wearing the right size! Very unusual.
Theeenn I had a raspberry tea frapuccino (yummy!) and my hand went purple from the marker they write the drink on the cup with. Theennn I moved the car and babysat. He was rather hyper when I got there but calmed down after a few stories (Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too, The Tiny Seed, 101 Dalmatians(sanitized for kiddies, Cruella wants to sell the puppies to the circus!?!)). He's a very wise child. Told me that although dogs like bones they don't eat people because we have skin. Yes. And also that his mummy had hit her head and died and he had a new mummy who was blonde. Hmm.
Had pizza, watched UK Border Police on Sky 3, crocheted, watched Sex And The City. Sky really does make me watch crap. Then watched the news. Much better.
Sunday: Slept in lots. Then got up and opened yesterdays post which had appeared on my desk chair. Had a rather nice coffee, read The Week, Mum went out plant hunting at Fyne Court.
We had lunch outside because the weather's so nice. It included Dad's latest (fun) idea, comparing chocolate. It's done in a very scientific way of course. We have coffee to clear the palate and Lindt Excellence as a control to compare with each different type. This week we had Tesco's Finest Ecuadorean 39% cocoa solids milk chocolate. It was yummy. Fairly strong and a bit bitter, contrasted strongly with the milkiness of the Lindt.
This afternoon, after playing strange games with Kate involving a cricket bat and tennis ball, I joined Mum and Dad in walking over to Barford Park. It's a big-ish old-ish house with a rather nice garden. There's the walled bit (where this photo was taken) with squarey flower beds concealing the kitchen garden parts, large explanses of lawn and a big pond with fish in next to the house. Then there's a smaller pond with big Chinese rhubarbs (gunnera) which has a stream feeding it which runs through some woodlandy stuff. There are lots of Candelabra Primulas (bright flowers on sticks) and big rhodadendrons under plenty of big tall trees. It was all very nice in the sun. And there were cream teas too. Shocking.
Then Mum picked up the plants she'd bought earlier and we walked home.

Enough!
