Question by spencer k: Can a 19 year old get in trouble for getting a 16 year old pregnant if the sex is consentual?
I am 19 and my girlfriend is 16. We are 2 years and 3 months apart and I was wondering if she became pregnant if I would get in any legal trouble even if the sex was consentual. I live in GA and everything I've read said the age of consent is 16. Also her parents are not allowing us see each other, could that cause any legal problems? And could they stop us from seeing each other if she was pregnant?

Yes, you could. Her parents could sue you for trying to go after their daughter; what you have to keep in mind is that their daughter is still a child to them and as so, they'll do anything to keep her safe.
